Terms of Service

Plain English. No surprises.

Hello, and thanks for using Teslita. These terms describe what Teslita is, what we promise (and don't), and what happens to your data. We've tried to write them the way we'd want to read them — short, honest, and on your side.

What Teslita is

Teslita is an independent service that turns your Tesla's own telemetry into a tax-ready trip log and a signed monthly home-charging report. It is a side-project, not a corporate product, and it is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. in any way.

It's free

Teslita costs nothing to use. There is no paid tier, no trial that quietly converts, no add-ons you get upsold to. We don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data. Your car's telemetry is yours.

Best effort, no warranty

Teslita is provided as is and as available, with no warranties of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

We try hard to keep the service running and the reports correct, but Teslita depends on Tesla's Fleet API, on telemetry the car actually sends, and on infrastructure that can have outages. You remain responsible for reviewing every report before you rely on it for taxes, reimbursement, or anything else that matters.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Teslita and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, missed tax deadlines, rejected reimbursements, or problems with your vehicle — arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where the law doesn't allow it to be excluded (such as for gross negligence or intent under German law).

Your account, your data

You can export your full trip and charging history at any time from the dashboard. If you delete your account, we delete everything we have associated with it — your profile, your OAuth tokens, your vehicles, your trips, your charging sessions, your generated reports.

Cancel any time

You can stop using Teslita and delete your account at any point, for any reason, from the dashboard — no email, no confirmation call, no retention flow. You don't owe us an explanation.

If anything changes

Teslita is a side-project today, and we expect it to stay that way. But if the service ever needs to change — pricing, scope, shutdown, acquisition, whatever — here's what we promise:

  • Advance notice. You'll hear from us well before any change takes effect, by email to the address on your account.
  • No forced payment. If a paid tier is ever introduced, existing accounts will not be charged without explicit, affirmative opt-in.

Acceptable use

Please don't use Teslita to break the law, to impersonate someone else, to attack our servers, or to scrape or reverse-engineer the service in a way that interferes with others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts doing those things — with a heads-up first wherever that's reasonable.

Not affiliated with Tesla

Teslita is an independent third-party service. It uses Tesla's official Fleet API under Tesla's developer terms, and we abide by Tesla's rules for those APIs. "Tesla" is a trademark of Tesla, Inc., used here only to describe what the service works with.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are not affected. The operating company is identified on our Imprint page.
